Freshmen Student becomes Top Diver
Jenna Karrow, a freshman at East Ridge High, has recently had the privilege of being ranked number one in All-Conference Honors diving. At a close second is teammate Bailee Meyer. Karrow started swimming at a young age and began diving when she was in seventh grade. Before diving, Karrow had been a gymnast, and later became a diver after her mom’s suggestion. Although she’s only been diving for a few years, she has already reached the highest rake in the state. Diving isn’t just jumping off a board as most people would think. A good dive is judged by tight form, good entry, and height. Diving takes a lot of commitment. There are everyday practices, along with constantly trying to prioritize school and life. She may attend East Ridge High, but she also dives alongside Woodbury divers. Not only has she gained endurance, but diving has also made the transition to high school that much easier.
